Microgaming First to Market with Windows Phone Casino App

While online casino development companies have paid a whole lot of attention to Android and iOS platforms when creating mobile casinos and mobile slots and games, it seems little thought has been given to the Windows Phone, until now that is. The leading online casino development company of Microgaming has taken the bull by the horns so to speak and is first out of the gate with a real money Windows Phone casino application that is now available in the Windows Phone store, and the app JackpotCity will run on Windows Phone 8.0 and 8.1.

The new app features a hefty 35 Microgaming real money slots, casino table games and video poker variations, with more games on the way very soon. Microgaming's head of casino John Quinn stated that, "We follow mobile developments very closely and recent statistics show that the Windows Phone market share is increasing significantly across many European countries, With this in mind, we believe that Microsoft's mobile platform is an important one to invest in."

JackpotCity is smooth and well designed with a spokesperson saying that, "This app, created by Microgaming, is the perfect gaming stage for our players with Windows Phones, "It is feature rich, with a plethora of Microgaming's first class games, whilst also being incredibly user-friendly and reliable." The success of the app does of course depend heavily on Windows Phone sales and they seem to be on the up, yet still have a long way to go to catch up with Android smartphones and tablets, and iPad and iPhone. Mobile casino usage is increasing monthly, with all major European operators investing heavily in their mobile products.
