Monster Spins Slots

Would you like to experience some Monster Spins? The title suggests a couple of clues, with the word monster potentially meaning big along with being a reference to the theme. Let's see what's happening on the reels of the game as we put Monster Spins through our extensive slot game review process below.

Who developed the Monster Spins game?

This is another delightful entry to the Realtime Gaming array of slots.

We're once again getting a demo, too

This developer never lets us down in this area, so we can easily load the slot game to find out everything about it while protecting our budget.

We guess you've guessed the theme

Yes, it's another monster-themed slot game, and it's perfect for those who like their monsters on the cute side of things, too.

Does the slot have a good design?

It does have a 2D design, and there's not as much detail as we've seen in other games. However, it works for the cartoon nature of the game. We're inside a bedroom, with the reels appearing in a frame on one wall.

How to play Monster Spins

Firstly, this is a five-reel game, and it does have three progressive jackpots too. You'll spot these on the left of the first reel.

There's a cute little monster as the wild symbol, and he's holding WILD underneath him for easier identification. There is a scatter in play too, and this says FREE GAMES. A huge clue to the role of that icon for sure. The wild can replace almost everything else on the reels, aside from the scatter symbol and the bonus. This bonus icon is in blue and shows another monster.

Fixed paylines appear in Monster Spins

The game offers you the chance to play on 20 lines, but you do need to make sure you can bet on them all.

What about the betting range?

Since the game has fixed paylines, you only need to choose one bet to play each spin. It's early days for info on this game, so check and see the availability of bets in your currency, as it may differ depending on where you are.

The paytable displays all the icons and lays out all the rules

Yes, it does just the job you would expect it to, bringing you the chance to explore the game prior to spinning the reels.

What's that bonus symbol about?

We'll cover that in a second, but first, there are two possible wild features you might see during the game. The first is the Slippery Wild feature, which triggers whenever you land a wild symbol.

The wild pays out any relevant wins before slipping down one position on its reel. This carries on until the wild drops out of sight. If other wilds appear during the feature, they'll go through the same thing.

During this Slippery Wild feature, you might also end up unlocking the Morphing Wild feature. This occurs when a wild appears behind a Slippery Wild. It then triggers the Morphing Wild feature and sees all the positions on that reel change into wilds.

You need three bonus symbols to appear in the base game or in the Slippery Wild feature to access the bonus round. You can see them marked on the light bar at the top of the game. The collected bonus symbols drop into random positions on the reels before the round begins. You then receive three respins while retaining the triggering bonus symbols. If any more appear during a respin, those stay where they are as well, while your respin count goes back to three remaining.

All the bonus icons have a value, but if you can get a complete line of them in view, you'll get the minor jackpot. Complete two lines for the mini and the major prizes, while all three lines complete - i.e.. the entire grid - will drop all three jackpots in your lap. This is unusual as you'd usually only get one jackpot.

Free spins might appear too in Monster Spins

Three, four, or five of those labeled scatter symbols bring you five, eight, or 12 free spins. All wilds landing turn into expanded wilds, covering that reel with wilds for that spin.

The RTP is unknown at present

If this becomes clear, we'll add it to our review.

Our rating: What did we make of the Monster Spins slot game?

There are some neat features in this game and certainly lots to look for along the way. The various wilds, bonus icons, and free games give this a rounded appearance that certainly offers plenty of potential. It's a solid 8/10 game, we believe.

Where do the biggest prizes lie?

The bonus round is obviously filled with the best potential. Even if you do not manage to get any of those progressive prizes, you will still end up with at least three cash amounts from the round. The three triggering bonus symbols will each be given a cash value at the end of the round, along with any others you might find. So, there is much to look for there.
