Plenty of virtual currencies are derived from the open source blockchain used for the original Bitcoin cryptocurrency. Bitcash, known by the market identifier BCC, is a new version of Bitcoin Cash, which many may be more familiar with. That may change though, because the new currency only developed in August 2017. This occurred when the blockchain for Bitcoin split at that time. There is thought to be around 9.6 million units of the supply in circulation at present. It is unknown how popular Bitcash could be, given its relatively young age in the market.
